DescriptionJoin Humanities Montana speaker E.B. Eiselein to learn about Native cultures in Montana prior to European contact. This presentation is based on Indian oral traditions and archaeological records. Eiselein begins this presentation by looking at the Clovis culture--the mammoth hunters who inhabited Montana and then talks about various migrations into and out of Montana by tribes such as Kiowa, Cheyenne, Sioux, and Crow. He also looks at the impact of the horse on the Great Plains tribes.
