|Description||Dedication event for the new Bannack State Park Group Use Shelter on Saturday, April 28 at 10:30am. Lt. Governor John Bohlinger will join Montana State Parks, The Bannack Association, Masons of Bannack Historic Lodge No. 3-7-77 and the Montana Department of Commerce (Tourism Infrastructure Improvement Program) for the dedication. The public is invited to attend.
This year marks the 150th Anniversary of the first major gold strike in Montana and the founding of Bannack, Montana's first territorial capital. Bannack became a state park in 1954. The dedication event will include a kick-off for the 150th anniversary year celebration, a historic talk, music and refreshments.
